John Webber is an award-winning mastering engineer at the famous AIR Studios London. He offers services for CD, Vinyl, Direct to Disc Recording, Multichannel/Stems, Mix consultation, Mastered For iTunes (accredited) and Hi Resolution Audio.

He was the cutting engineer on AIR Studio’s first ever direct to disc recordings, which include Claire Teal and the Syd Lawrence Orchestra’s – Ella Fitzgerald Tribute & Debbie Wiseman with the National Symphony Orchestra. John has also cut vinyl records for a diverse range of artists including George Michael, David Bowie, The Divine Comedy, Super Furry Animals, Ghostface Killah and BAD BAD NOT GOOD.

Aside from his technical abilities & efficient workflow, John’s clients respect his creative decisions as he does theirs. John is able to offer an objective ear and is a self-professed lover of all music. His work commonly includes re-mastering a vast amount of Jazz classics from analogue sources (vinyl/hires/CD boxsets for John Coltrane, Ray Charles, George Benson, Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington) alternative music for UK independents (Mute, Moshi Moshi, The Young Turks) including 2016 Scottish Album of the Year, Varmints by Anna Meredith or overseeing major film/TV/gaming score releases (composers including A R Rahman, Rael Jones & Clint Mansell) for films such as Alien Covenant, Loving Vincent & the 2017 Ivor Novello nominated score for High-Rise.
